Softball Recap: Hayden Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hayden entered their tilt with Boaz on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Boaz Pirates by a score of 8-4.

The team relied heavily on Halie Pavolini, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Baylee Scott was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Hayden hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in six consecutive games.

Hayden's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Boaz, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Hayden Wildcats take on Springville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springville will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Hayden surely won't give up without a fight. As for Boaz, they will welcome Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
