Volleyball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Las Vegas' Winning Streak + How To Watch

After a string of nine wins, Las Vegas's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Mojave Rattlers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rattlers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Las Vegas was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mojave work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, 24-26, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Las Vegas had strong showings from Veanka Escobedo, who had 17 digs and three assists, and Aaliyah Jones, who had 16 kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Jones is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 25 games she's played.

Las Vegas' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 18-9. As for Mojave, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
