Basketball Game Preview: Fort Worth Christian Cardinals vs. Trinity Christian Lions

Fort Worth Christian is on a four-game streak of home losses, Trinity Christian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals challenge the Trinity Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Fort Worth Christian is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against All S on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Fort Worth Christian was outmatched by All S and fell 73-12. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian came up short against Southwest Christian School on Friday and fell 41-33. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Eagles are ranked 286th).

Fort Worth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-17. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-17.

Fort Worth Christian was taken down by Trinity Christian 89-29 in their previous meeting back in February of 2016. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fort Worth Christian was down 52-17.
