Benson dropped their record down to 13-13-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Bisbee Pumas by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in March.

Dawson Judd made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

As for Bisbee, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

On Bisbee's side, Bryceton Meyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Meyer was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Meyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Martinez has posted since back in March of 2024. David Corella was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Benson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bisbee, they have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against San Miguel on the 28th.
