Basketball Recap: Hopewell's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hopewell had won three straight games and Erin Edmonds HV17 did her part to make it four on Tuesday. The Hopewell Blue Devils blew past the Meadowbrook Monarchs, posting a 63-9 victory thanks in part to Edmonds HV17, who almost dropped a triple-double on 25 points, ten boards, and nine steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hopewell's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kierra Prince, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Hopewell is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Meadowbrook, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Hopewell will challenge Matoaca at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Hopewell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Meadowbrook, they will take on Prince George at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
