Softball Recap: Hamshire-Fannett Beats Tarkington for Their Third Straight Win

Hamshire-Fannett made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tarkington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Hamshire-Fannett's pitchers stepped up to hand Tarkington a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for Hamshire-Fannett, who have now won three contests in a row.

Jade Hill looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emily Gallier, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Braelyn Harrison was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

Hamshire-Fannett hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tarkington struck out eight times.

Hamshire-Fannett's victory bumped their record up to 14-11-2. As for Tarkington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Coincidentally, Hamshire-Fannett and Tarkington will both be playing Liberty the next time they take the field. Tarkington will head out to face Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hamshire-Fannett will host them at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
