Football Game Preview: Washington Union Panthers vs. Kerman Lions + How To Watch

The Washington Union Panthers will head out to take on the Kerman Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Washington Union was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 21-17 to Central Valley Christian. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although Washington Union took the loss, they still got scores from George Lopez and Lance Fagundes.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last contest, Kerman made sure to put some points up on the board against Sierra Pacific on Friday. The Lions blew past the Golden Bears 34-13. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Kerman's win came from a few key players Washington Union will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jorge Antunez, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards. Adrian Torres was another key player, throwing for 301 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Kerman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

Kerman has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Washington Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Washington Union took a serious blow against Kerman in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 38-6. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
