Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Chavez Titans
McNair is 2-8 against Chavez since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The McNair Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Chavez Titans at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
McNair suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 113-34 loss at the hands of Weston Ranch. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McNair has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Chavez came up short against Edison on Friday and fell 60-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chavez in their matchups with Edison: they've now lost nine in a row.
This is the second loss in a row for McNair and nudges their season record down to 5-14. As for Chavez, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
McNair didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chavez in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-41 victory. Will McNair repeat their success, or does Chavez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
