Volleyball Recap: Mesa Vista Gets the Win

After losing to Cimarron the last time they met, Mesa Vista decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trojans came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Mesa Vista had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Mesa Vista now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cimarron, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mesa Vista will face off against Menaul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cimarron, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dora at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
