Soccer Game Preview: Westminster Academy vs. North Vermilion

The Westminster Academy Crusaders will take on the North Vermilion Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. North Vermilion took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Westminster Academy, who comes in off a win.

Westminster Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Opelousas Catholic with a sharp 9-1 win on Saturday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for North Vermilion's offense. They came up short against St. Thomas More on Saturday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Cougars are ranked third).

Westminster Academy now has a winning record of 6-5-2. As for North Vermilion, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7-1.
