Clairton's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 57-0 victory over the Jeannette Jayhawks. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won four games by 43 points or more so far this season.

Clairton was led to victory by Jeff Thompson and Deon Lovelace-Pomphey. Thompson threw for 164 yards and three TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes, while Lovelace-Pomphey gained 71 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Lovelace-Pomphey a new career-high in rushing yards (60). Jaece Booker made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Clairton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Booker, Michael Ruffin, and Donte Wright picked up one apiece. Booker got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Clairton, racking up 21 points in total. All came from Rheyjon Williams: he went 7-for-7 kicking field goals for 21 points.

Clairton's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Jeannette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
