Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Lehigh Tigers vs. Palmerton Blue Bombers

Northwestern Lehigh is 2-8 against Palmerton since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Northwestern Lehigh Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Palmerton Blue Bombers at 12:45 p.m. Northwestern Lehigh knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Palmerton likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Northwestern Lehigh took on Saucon Valley on Wednesday. Northwestern Lehigh blew past Saucon Valley 63-43.

Meanwhile, Palmerton played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Saucon Valley an easy 49-28 victory. The match marked the Blue Bombers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Northwestern Lehigh's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.3 points. As for Palmerton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Northwestern Lehigh ended up a good deal behind Palmerton in their previous meeting back in January, losing 68-52. Can Northwestern Lehigh avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
