After a string of five wins, Council Grove's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 55-26 defeat at the hands of the Osage City Indians. The matchup marked the Braves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Finn Gant and Reid Buttrey certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Gant posted nine points, while Buttrey had five points.

Council Grove's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Osage City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Council Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Wabaunsee on the 25th. Osage City has also already played their next contest (against Ottawa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
