Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Wildcats vs. West Clermont Wolves

The Harrison Wildcats will challenge the West Clermont Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Harrison's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while West Clermont has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Harrison is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Goshen, falling 74-48. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Warriors are ranked 82nd).

The home team had won the previous five meetings between West Clermont and Turpin, and West Clermont kept the tradition alive. The Wolves came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 64-55 on Friday.

Harrison better keep an eye on Carson Duke. He was instrumental in West Clermont's win, going 10-for-21 to rack up 24 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Duke now owns an excellent 45% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Lane Madden, who posted ten points.

West Clermont's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Harrison couldn't quite get it done against West Clermont in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 57-49. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
