Softball Recap: Miller School of Albemarle's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Miller School of Albemarle lost against Christchurch School back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mavericks came up short against the Seahorses, falling 11-5. The loss put an end to the Mavericks' undefeated start to the season.

Lily Pallante made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Isabelle Morehead was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Miller School of Albemarle fell to 2-1. As for Christchurch School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

Coming up, Miller School of Albemarle will venture away from home to face off against Fredericksburg Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Christchurch School, they will host Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.78 runs per game on average), something the Seahorses will no doubt try to take advantage of.
