Baseball Game Preview: Tecumseh Indians vs. Coldwater Cardinals

The Tecumseh Indians are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Coldwater Cardinals at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Coldwater took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Tecumseh, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Tecumseh had just enough and edged out Bedford 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Logan Smith tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Tecumseh's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jeremy Bennett, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another was Ramiro Perez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Coldwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 5-1 to Bronson.

Tecumseh has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Coldwater, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
