Basketball Recap: Harding County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Cohen Smith and Ryder Hunsucker

Harding County lost against Belfield back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ranchers took a 74-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bantams.

Despite the defeat, Harding County had strong showings from Ryder Hunsucker, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards, and Cohen Smith, who went 8-for-13 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Smith's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Ginsbach, who posted seven points.

Harding County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Harding County will be taking part in a tournament against Beach at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belfield, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter at 4:00 p.m. on the 27th.
