Matthew Castillo turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than eight strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Los Lunas is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise.

Coming up, Castillo and Los Lunas will take on La Cueva in a tournament on Thursday. Castillo had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup back in April of 2022 10-5. Could another big game from him be enough to change the outcome this time?
