Basketball Recap: Pearl Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

Pearl had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Meridian Wildcats 59-43. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Tuesday, they had to take a 42-38 defeat.

Pearl pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Meridian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.
