Basketball Game Preview: Gilman Pirates vs. Loyal Greyhounds

The Gilman Pirates will take on the Loyal Greyhounds in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Gilman took a blow against Neillsville, falling 87-13. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for Loyal in a 57-39 win over Columbus Catholic on Tuesday.

Gilman's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Loyal, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3.

Gilman came up short against Loyal in their previous meeting back in February, falling 59-47. Can Gilman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
