Volleyball Recap: Columbia Raiders vs. Wellington Dukes        
        
		
             It was a good run, but  Columbia unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellington Dukes. The  matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Columbia couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Wellington a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 30-28,  25-21.
 Even though they lost, Columbia  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least nine  aces in four consecutive  games.
 Wellington found their leader in underclassman  Alexandria Mills, who  had 14  digs. Mills has been hot recently, having  posted ten or more  digs the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lauren Vannatter, who  had five  digs and 15  assists.
 Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Wellington, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record  this season.
 Columbia will face off against Brookside at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Columbia is looking to tack on another W to their 11-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Wellington, they will venture away from home to  face off against Firelands  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Firelands will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something Wellington surely won't give up without a fight.
