Unity waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Cumberland Beavers 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Unity not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cumberland between 17 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

Andrea Erickson paced Unity's offense, picking up 18 kills. Erickson got some help from Ella Johnson and her 19 assists. Erickson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Unity's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Cumberland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Unity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Glenwood City on the 20th. As for Cumberland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Stanley-Boyd on the 20th.
