Soccer Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mt. Vernon Rams, falling 4-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mt. Vernon this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in March.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mt. Vernon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Carmel will take on Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will challenge Richland County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richland County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Mt. Vernon surely won't give up without a fight.
