Baseball Recap: Normangee Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Normangee duked it out with Centerville on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Normangee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Javon Kirven, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Normangee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Centerville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

Normangee has already played their next contest, a 9-8 win against Lovelady on the 1st. As for Centerville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-0 victory against Latexo on the 1st.
