Recap: Spring Mountain Eagles vs. Pyramid Lake Lakers
The Spring Mountain Eagles lost against the Pyramid Lake Lakers back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Spring Mountain's tough 52-28 loss to Pyramid Lake might stick with them for a while. Spring Mountain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pyramid Lake was led to victory by Takoda Rivers and Rylen Patrick. Rivers scored 9 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds, while Patrick scored 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Patrick has scored at least 25% of Pyramid Lake's points. Cash Hall was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Spring Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pyramid Lake, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Spring Mountain will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sandy Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Pyramid Lake, they will take on Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Pinecrest Academy Cadence is ranked 23rd, while Pyramid Lake is ranked 32nd).
