Volleyball Recap: Lexington's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lexington proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Phoenix Academy Firebirds 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lexington was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11.

Lexington's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Phoenix Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lexington is set to face off against their familiar foe Central Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Phoenix Academy will square off against rival Winston Salem Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
