While Antioch didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the North Chicago Warhawks by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Sequoits in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won seven in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Antioch was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15.

Justin Niznik paced Antioch's offense, picking up seven kills. Niznik got some help from Ryan Jilly and his 15 assists. Ethan Espinoza controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Antioch's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for North Chicago, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Antioch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Latin on the 26th. As for North Chicago, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grant Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
