Discovery posted their closest win since September 9th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys Mustang 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Mustang: they've now won three in a row.

Discovery was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-12, 24-26, 25-9, 16-14.

Discovery's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Discovery is set to square off against their familiar foe Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys will challenge rival Magnolia Science Academy Reseda at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
