Basketball Recap: Godley Comes Up Short

Godley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Kennedale Wildcats, falling 74-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Godley of the 88-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Godley's record is now 5-15. As for Kennedale, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Godley will face off against Ferris at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedale, they will challenge Alvarado at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Alvarado has won four straight at home, while Kennedale won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
