Basketball Game Preview: South Windsor Bobcats vs. Windsor Warriors

The South Windsor Bobcats will venture away from home to face off against the Windsor Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

South Windsor came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Avon by a score of 47-45 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Windsor faced Manchester in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Windsor was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 95-94 to Manchester. The Warriors were up 52-34 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

South Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Windsor, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

South Windsor was able to grind out a solid victory over Windsor in their previous meeting back in February of 2015, winning 58-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Windsor since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
