Basketball Recap: Northern Durham Takes a Loss

Northern Durham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Jordan Falcons, falling 43-15. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-11 last Monday.

Jordan found their leader in sophomore Olivia Yancey, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Caroline Masella, who went 5 for 12 to rack up 11 points.

Northern Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Jordan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Northern Durham will square off against Riverside-Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northern Durham is facing Riverside-Durham at the right time seeing as Riverside-Durham is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Jordan, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hillside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
