On Wednesday Grant Johnson tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The effort marked the fewest hits Johnson has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two walks. This year, he has an ERA of 4.47 over 15.7 innings pitched.

Johnson's effort led Murrieta Valley over Murrieta Mesa and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
