Soccer Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jefferson County's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Gryphons are ranked 58th).

Jefferson County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Academy for Classical Education and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Jefferson County will look to defend their home pitch on March 18th against Greene County at 5:30 p.m. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will head out on the road to challenge Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
