Recap: Richton Rebels vs. North Forrest Eagles
The Richton Rebels came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 43-35 win over North Forrest. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Richton also won the last time the pair played on January 11th.
Richton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dakota Amos out in front who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylin Carter, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Richton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for North Forrest, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Richton will be playing at home against Mize at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mize will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Richton is ranked 113th). North Forrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
