Mountain View has gone a perfect 10-0 against Mesa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Mountain View will welcome Mesa at 3:45 p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Mountain View's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Skyline as Mountain View made off with a 16-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Toros considering their two-run performance the game before.

Jaelynn Fike looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kylynn Sylvester, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since March 1st. Tierah Metcalf was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.
Mountain View hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 6-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Boulder Creek, falling 18-2.
Leah Alcala made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Isom, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mountain View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Mesa struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mountain View's way against Mesa in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Mountain View made off with an 18-5 win. Will Mountain View repeat their success, or does Mesa has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
