Winchester Community won the last time they faced Alexandria-Monroe and things went their way on Thursday too. The Golden Falcons put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Winchester Community's got stronger as the match went on, holding Alexandria-Monroe to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Auden Hummel paced Winchester Community's offense, picking up 20 kills. Hummel got some help from Lyndi Whitenack and her 22 assists. Hummel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Winchester Community's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Winchester Community will head out on the road to square off against Frankton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Golden Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will host Blackford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Bruins at the right time seeing as the Bruins are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
