Baseball Recap: Santaluces Comes Up Short

Santaluces had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-16 to make it 12. They lost 13-3 to the Forest Hill Falcons. The Chiefs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

As for Forest Hill, their win bumped their record up to 12-10. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Forest Hill's part, they got a big performance out of Nick Seal, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Seal is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 6-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Aaron Moreno, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI.

Santaluces and Forest Hill are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Chiefs will face off against Park Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Santaluces' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Forest Hill, they will take on Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
