The Vicksburg Bulldogs will face off against the Edwardsburg Eddies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Vicksburg is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
Vicksburg's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Sturgis 16-0. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Graham Kubiak made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Caden Chisholm looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Brandon Shoffner was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Deal, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Vicksburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Edwardsburg came up short against Jimtown on Monday and fell 6-3. The Eddies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Vicksburg's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edwardsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.
Vicksburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Edwardsburg in their previous matchup on May 6th, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eddies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
