Basketball Recap: Jefferson Township Comes Up Short

Jefferson Township was the 61-46 winner over Vernon when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jefferson Township Falcons fell 64-51 to the Vernon Vikings on Monday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson Township's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Vernon, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Jefferson Township has already played their next match, a 64-63 loss against Roxbury on the 22nd. As for Vernon, they will challenge Ramsey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vernon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Ramsey likes a good challenge.
