Softball Recap: Itasca Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Itasca finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 12-0 to the Hico Tigers. The Wampus Cats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Itasca saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Malke, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Itasca's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Hico, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Itasca nor Hico have any future games scheduled.
