Football Recap: Banks Academy Takes a Loss

Banks Academy was the 27-20 winner over Patrician Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Jets took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Saints are ranked 131st).

Remington Faile continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Patrician Academy, rushing for 182 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Faile a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Ethan Carr, who rushed for 104 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries.

Banks Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Patrician Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Banks Academy will host Valiant Cross Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Patrician Academy, they will be playing at home against Jackson Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
