Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Dayspring Christian Academy lost against Merino back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles took a blow against the Merino Rams, falling 65-21. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Dayspring Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gracie Glimore posted four points. Essi Wiles was another key player, putting up five points.

Dayspring Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Merino, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Dayspring Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-39 loss against Akron on the 20th. Merino has also already played their next contest, a 50-17 victory against Prairie on the 20th.
