Volleyball Recap: Hollywood Hills Starts Season with Loss at Home

Hollywood Hills unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-14.

Hollywood Hills' offense was headlined by Duane Floyd and Idan David, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Julian Klavans and his eight assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

The win made it two in a row for Pembroke Pines Charter and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Hollywood Hills has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Northeast on the 10th. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Taravella on the 10th.
