Mineral Ridge waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Waterloo Vikings 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Xavier Klamer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mineral Ridge will venture away from home to take on Mathews at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waterloo, they will head out to face off against Windham at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
