Chillicothe and Washington are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Cavaliers will face off against the Blue Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chillicothe has given up an average of 27.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Chillicothe and Miami Trace, and Miami Trace kept the tradition alive. The Cavaliers took a hard 35-21 fall against the Panthers on Friday. The Cavaliers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Washington came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 42-27.

Washington's win came from a few key players Chillicothe will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Noah Haithcock, who picked up 150 receiving yards and three TDs. Sam Pfeifer was another key player, throwing for 221 yards and four touchdowns.

Washington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as J'Vion Gatewood, Javin Baker, and Matthew Colflesh picked up one apiece. Colflesh got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Chillicothe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Chillicothe couldn't quite finish off Washington in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 and fell 28-26. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
