Basketball Preview: Greenway Demons vs. Thunderbird Titans        
        
		
            The Greenway Demons will head out to  challenge the Thunderbird Titans  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Greenway has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 178 points over their last three contests.
Last Saturday,  everything went Greenway's way against Moon Valley as Greenway made off with  a  63-37 victory. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11  games by 26  points or more this season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenway to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jazmyne Cordero, who  posted 16  points and seven  steals. Cordero is trending in the right direction considering she's  improved her point production for four straight games.  Charlotte Buchanan was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on ten points and 15  rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Thunderbird beat Coconino 44-40 on Tuesday.
Thunderbird's win came from a few key players Greenway will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Isabella Illingworth, who  dropped  a double-double on 15  points and ten  boards. Another player making a difference was  Roscella Tsosie, who  earned 11 points and three  steals.
 Thunderbird  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.
 Greenway has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points per game. As for Thunderbird, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.
 Greenway was able to grind out a solid  victory over Thunderbird when the teams last played  back in January, winning  51-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenway since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
