Oxford is 7-2 against Wolcott since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolverines will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. One thing working in Oxford's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

On Wednesday, Oxford got the win against Naugatuck by a conclusive 16-2. The Wolverines have beaten the Greyhounds the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Greyhounds has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Wolcott fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Holy Cross on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Avery Malenfant spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

Oxford's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wolcott, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
