Edgewater narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past South Lake 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Edgewater has posted since August 26th.

Edgewater had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 14-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-12.

Apopka's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Edgewater, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Apopka beat Edgewater 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Blue Darters repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
