Maize South faced Bishop Carroll in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mavericks came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Maize South's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Bishop Carroll, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 22-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Maize South will venture away from home to challenge South on Tuesday. As for Bishop Carroll, they will challenge Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
