Volleyball Recap: Carrollton Beats Trenton for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Carrollton came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Trenton Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carrollton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 28-26, 20-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Sarah Ratliff paced Carrollton's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ratliff got some help from Kinsey Fisher and her 29 assists. Fisher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Trenton still got an impressive performance from Ty Bonnett, who had 16 digs and two assists. Bonnett is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Trenton, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Carrollton has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Chillicothe on the 13th. As for Trenton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lafayette on the 13th.
